you gotta know it, it's electric

Why isn't the Electric Slide cool anymore? Was it ever? I am not a dancer. I prefer mocking those people at weddings that do the YMCA and dance to that horrible Kool and the Gang song that is on every wedding DJ playlist, but there is something about the Electric Slide that makes me want to boogie-woogie-woogie. I even taught someone how to do it outside an AJ's one time (I am awesome).
What does this have to do with anything? Well, nothing really except that I built a sliding door for a cabinet in the kitchen and now every time I open it I am going to start singing this song. Anyone know where I can find a pair of blue spandex pants?
