mission accomplished

My mission this week while the big kids were at VBS was to get the downstairs painted. I picked a good week to work inside. It was a record-breaking 4000 degrees here. My poor little air conditioner had to work hard to keep me cool while I got rid of the brown.

I used the same color that's in my other house. It is a fantastic neutral gray that looks blue, purple, beige or gray depending on the time of day and how many mojitos I've had. My mission next week is to ditch the kids and fly back to TX, load up the truck, and drive away from Texas for good this time. My mission until October is to try to keep my face from melting off.
